Bickford Cottage Positions:·Bickford House Positions:


Director:
Assumes responsibility for the overall operation and marketing of the Bickford Cottage. Depending on the size of the location a second in charge person may be part of the management team. That individual will either be a Community Relations Director (marketing focused) or an Assistant Director (operations focused). Tasks for the Director position will include financial responsibilities (budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable), marketing (leads, reservations, occupancy), oversight of resident care, staffing (management and scheduling), customer service, and regulatory obligations.

Community Relations Director:
Assumes responsibility for the marketing functions of the Bickford property and is meant to complement the Director?s position. The position may not be available at all sites. This position will work closely with medical professionals and other community referral sources. They will be responsible for providing education as well as forming relationships in the community.

Assistant Director:
Assistant Directors are primarily responsible for staffing and providing assistance to the Director with assigned operational tasks. This position will focus on staffing / management. This position is meant to complement the Director?s position and therefore may not be available at all sites.

RN Coordinator:
Coordinates and communicates all health care services for the residents. Hours will depend on size of the residence and the level of care provided. Hours range from 12 hours to 40 hours.

RN Coordinator Back Up:
Coordinates and communicates all health care services for the residents during scheduled coverage. The scheduled coverage is determined by the residence Director. It could range from one weekend a month to a job share environment.

Kitchen Manager:
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overall production and proper services of meals from the menu to residents and employees. Additional responsibilities include cleanliness of production and service area, budget, ordering and scheduling of Assistant Cook.

Assistant Cook:
Responsible for preparation of meals from the menu plan. Carries out the schedule for serving meals and maintains the sanitation of the kitchen.

Dishwasher:
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the food service areas.

C.N.A. (Certified Nursing Assistant):
Assumes responsibility for resident care and services as noted on residents' service plans to include personal needs, housekeeping, laundry, activities, and meals, while encouraging resident independence and self-care. Bickford Cottages practice the concept of the Universal Employee where a C.N.A. is involved in the holistic approach to caring for seniors.

C.M.A. /L.P.N. (Certified Medication Aid or Licensed Practical Nurse):
Assumes responsibility for resident care and services, as noted on resident service plans, to include, personal needs, housekeeping, laundry, activities, meals and medication assistance, while encouraging residents independence and self-care. Bickford Cottages practice the concept of the Universal Employee where a C.N.A. is involved in the holistic approach to caring for seniors.

Housekeeper:
Assumes primary responsibility for the general cleanliness of residents' apartments and the common areas of the residence.

Maintenance Person:
Provides maintenance and preventative work for the local Bickford property.

Life Enrichment Coordinator:
Plans and implements the Bickford Cottage activities, individual and group programming and any outings. Ensures residents' lives are maintained to the extent possible by providing activities and contracts in the community. This position is only available in our freestanding dementia building in Sioux City, IA.
